We grind and polish our own lenses! Our lenses produce super clear images because we grind and polish our lenses down to a flatness of ±20μm. There are no brights spots or impurities in our lenses. Our Ultra Layer coating technology chemically hardens the lens and makes it scratch and grime resistant.
Practically speaking, this means you can film in 8K with a 120-megapixel camera and safely film in the middle of the insane fireworks YanShui Beehive Fireworks Festival. Our 1.1mm lens is strong enough to withstand 650MPa, the equivalent of a golf ball dropped from 300cm three times. We've also conducted heat and pressure tests. The outer edge has been carbon blackened, reducing ghost images and flares. Seeing is believing.
For the rim, we use precision machining for a tough but lightweight aluminum alloy frame. The slim pressure ring design can allow as much light in as possible and also reduces vignetting when using a wide-angle lens. The inner circle is treated with non-stick Teflon and a matte black finish and the embossed frame is easy to rotate, won’t jam and cuts out reflection. The shock-absorbent frame also reduces the chance of damage to your lens if it takes a knock.
