        Installation Instructions

        Due to varying QC standards across camera brands, even models of the same brand may have manufacturing tolerances. If the internal filter frame doesn’t fit properly, please contact STC support or headquarters. Do not force installation.

STC will not cover these marks or offer compensation. Please consider this before purchasing if reselling your camera is a concern.




        About This Product

        All our filters use STC’s exclusive nanocoating technology for the best optical quality. Our Sensor Protector, Cine Mist, Neutral Density (ND), Astro (light pollution) series, IR-Pass (590nm/720nm/850nm) and UV-IR cut filters all carry a double-sided hydrophobic, anti-smudge and antistatic nanocoating to enhance or block transmission in all kinds of particular spectrums.

        Features

        The frames are made from black anodized non-magnetic 304(A2) stainless steel treated with Teflon. Our patented design makes the filters easy to fix in place without affecting focusing.

        Patented clip design fixes the filter firmly in place while you attach your lens.

        When you remove the clip filter, lay down your camera facing upwards so the filter does not touch the image sensor.

        STC's clip filters are specifically designed to reduce color cast for wide-angle lenses. We support Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Pentax, Olympus, Panasonic, Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera and Z Cam E-2 models.

        Notes 

        • As each manufacturer’s lens design is different, blurring around the edges may occur with some fisheye or super wide-angle lenses. This is normal.
        • As each camera has margin tolerance, please contact STC if you encounter difficulty installing the clip filter. Do not try to force the frame into place.
        • After you mount the clip filter, your lens focus will very slightly shift because of the change in the optical axis. When focusing you should use your camera’s autofocus or use the Live View mode to focus manually.
