Due to varying QC standards across camera brands, even models of the same brand may have manufacturing tolerances. If the internal filter frame doesn't fit properly, please contact STC support or headquarters. Do not force installation.

Shipping Notice
Our products are manufactured in Taiwan (R.O.C.), not China. After packaging, we ship via international couriers such as DHL or OCS. Import taxes are not included in our sales responsibilities; if you have concerns regarding customs duties, please contact your local customs office. If a shipment is returned due to failure to pick up the package or refusal to pay customs duties, we will charge the additional return logistics fees. Order cancellations under such circumstances will also have the relevant costs deducted.
The 2026 new V.2 version features two differently designed housings that are universally compatible with the Canon R series. They perfectly meet the usage requirements of the R8 models.
Our frames are custom designed for each model of camera and are all made from an aerospace-grade aluminum alloy that is non-magnetic and shock-absorbent. We use CNC machining to make sure the frame fits snugly. An ingenious spring clip fixes the filter in place and you can unclip it with a light touch of your finger. Each filter set comes with a magnetized screwdriver to help you swap out one filter for another.
ND filters are widely and frequently used to control exposure parameters such as shutter speed, aperture, and ISO. They are essential for a variety of creative applications, including capturing sunrises and sunsets, silky long-exposure waterfalls and clouds, light trails from people and vehicles, preventing overexposure in shallow-depth-of-field portraits or street scenes, balancing flash output for a more focused visual effect, and achieving pleasing motion blur.
Unlike typical ND filters that only block visible light (400–700 nm) and overlook the impact of invisible light on the final image, STC’s ND filters are engineered based on the full camera sensor spectrum (400–1000 nm). Infrared wavelengths are also included in the blocking range. Using the highly precise SLC (Simulative Linear Calibration) spectral correction technology, STC ND filters effectively eliminate the strong color cast issues commonly found in traditional ND filters, ensuring accurate and natural color reproduction in long-exposure photography.
All our filters use STC’s exclusive nanocoating technology for the best optical quality. Our Sensor Protector, Star Mist, Cine Mist, Neutral Density (ND), Astro (light pollution) series, IR-Pass (590nm/720nm/850nm), and UV-IR-Cut filters all carry a double-sided hydrophobic, anti-smudge and antistatic nanocoating to enhance or block transmission in all kinds of particular spectrums.
