Installation Instructions

Due to varying QC standards across camera brands, even models of the same brand may have manufacturing tolerances. If the internal filter frame doesn't fit properly, please contact STC support or headquarters. Do not force installation.

Disclaimer

STC's Clip-in filters are innovative and rely on the camera's internal structure for stability. Minor marks from installation may occur but do not affect camera functionality or warranty. STC will not cover these marks or offer compensation. Please consider this before purchasing if reselling your camera is a concern.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Canon full-frame cameras are these clip filter sets compatible with?
These clip filter sets are designed for Canon full-frame cameras. Please check the Supported Camera & Lens List for full compatibility details before purchasing.

What combo sets are available?
Available combinations include ND (4+6+10 stop), IR Pass 590+720+850nm, IR 590+720+850nm + UV-IR Cut, and Astro Multispectra + Duo-Narrowband.

Do I need to use Live View mode with DSLR Canon full-frame cameras?
Yes. When using a DSLR Canon full-frame camera, please use Live View mode, as lifting the mirror blocks the optical viewfinder.

Will mounting this filter affect my camera's autofocus?
After mounting the clip filter, your camera's autofocus will automatically adjust to the change in optical axis. No manual calibration is required for most supported camera models.

What makes STC's clip filter frames different from competitors?
STC uses non-magnetic anodized 304 (A2) stainless steel frames treated with Teflon coating to prevent scratches on your camera's internal structure — a key advantage over aluminum or magnetic frames used by other brands.
