Do I need special tools to attach the grip to my camera?
No. You can secure the grip to your camera using a coin — no special tools required. The bottom bracket uses a standard tripod screw connection.
Is the bottom bracket compatible with my tripod quick-release system?
Yes. The bottom bracket is Arca Swiss compliant, making it compatible with most Arca Swiss quick-release tripod mounts. An additional 1/4" thread is also built in for further mounting flexibility.
Can I access the battery door without removing the grip?
Yes. The STC Folding Grip is designed to allow full access to the battery door without needing to remove the grip from the camera.
How does the folding mechanism work?
The grip can be deployed and stowed one-handed. When in use, it flips out to give you extra stability and a more secure hold. When stowed, it folds flush to the body of the bracket, keeping your kit compact.
What is the L-bracket option and what colors are available?
The L-bracket is an optional side plate that adds a vertical shooting position mount to your setup. It is available in 4.5cm and 8.0cm lengths, with color options including Black, Blue, Orange, and Red. The L-bracket does not block access to cable ports.
