    Installation Instructions

    Due to varying QC standards across camera brands, even models of the same brand may have manufacturing tolerances. If the internal filter frame doesn't fit properly, please contact STC support or headquarters. Do not force installation.

    Do I need to use Live View mode with DSLR Canon full-frame cameras?
    Yes. When using a DSLR Canon full-frame camera, please use Live View mode, as lifting the mirror blocks the optical viewfinder.

    Will mounting this filter affect my camera's autofocus?
    After mounting the clip filter, your camera's autofocus will automatically adjust to the change in optical axis. No manual calibration is required for most supported camera models.

    About This Product

    Frames can mount all kinds of filters, such as our Astro (light pollution) series; IR-Pass (590nm/720nm/850nm); UV/IR-Cut; and 4-Stop (ND16), 6-Stop (ND64), 9-Stop (ND400), and 10-Stop (ND1000) neutral density filters.

    Features

    The frames are made from black anodized non-magnetic 304(A2) stainless steel treated with Teflon. Our patented design makes the filters easy to fix in place without affecting focusing.

    Patented clip design fixes the filter firmly in place while you attach your lens.

    When you remove the clip filter, lay down your camera facing upwards so the filter does not touch the image sensor.

    STC's clip filters are specifically designed to reduce color cast for wide-angle lenses. We support Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Pentax, Olympus, Panasonic, Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera and Z Cam E-2 models.

    • As each native and third party manufacturer's lens design is different, blurring around the edges may occur with some fisheye or super wide-angle lenses. This is normal.
    • As each camera has fine tolerances, please contact STC for support. If you encounter difficulty installing the clip filter, do not force the frame into place.
